The Coach Travel Group, an H2 portfolio company, has acquired Horseman Coaches and Stewarts Coaches

In December 2024, The Coach Travel Group (“CTG”) completed the acquisitions of two high quality and well-established, unscheduled coach operators: Horseman Coaches (“Horseman”) and Stewarts Coaches (“Stewarts”). Both operators bring a complementary and highly contracted mix of services for their respective customers, which include schools, corporates and private individuals.

Horseman (www.horsemancoaches.co.uk), is a formerly family-owned operator and was founded in 1977. It comes with a well-invested main site and an engineering facility, both of which will support CTG’s future growth ambitions. Stewarts was founded in 1986 and had been part of National Express (now Mobico Plc) since 2018.

The acquisitions add further scale to CTG, which now generates over £90 million revenue, and support its strategy of becoming a truly unique national operator with a best-in-class service offering for its customers.

Henry Stevens

Henry joined H2 in 2024 and is involved in both evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting existing portfolio companies.

 

Prior to joining H2, Henry spent nearly six years at the strategy consultancy firm, Roland Berger, where he was a core member of the Transaction & Investor Services platform supporting private equity and strategic investors across the Industrial and Regulated & Infrastructure sectors predominantly within the mid-market.

 

Henry graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Bachelor (Hons) in Economics. His interests outside of work are road cycling where he competes in time trials, running and skiing.
