H2 EQUITY PARTNERS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE ITS INVESTMENT IN THE COACH TRAVEL GROUP 

H2 Equity Partners (“H2”) is pleased to announce its investment in The Coach Travel Group (“CTG”) which brings together seven of the UK’s leading regional coach operators: Alpine Travel, Barnes Coaches, Coatham Coaches, JH Coaches, Johnsons Coaches, Swans Travel and The Ready Group. Together these operators will merge to form a unique national group providing a range of unscheduled coach services across the UK, including private hire, contracts for schools and corporations, and holidays and tours. 

Following completion, H2 will work closely with CTG to leverage the combined strengths of the seven operators and drive investment in its people, fleet and technology to deliver a best-in-class service to its customers. 

CTG will be led by Tom Stables as CEO, who has over 20 years of relevant industry experience. He will be supported by a strong and highly committed team with many of the operator managers becoming shareholders alongside H2. 

H2 were supported in the transaction by Eversheds Sutherland (Legal) and Grant Thornton (Financial & Tax).

Henry Stevens

Henry joined H2 in 2024 and is involved in both evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting existing portfolio companies.

 

Prior to joining H2, Henry spent nearly six years at the strategy consultancy firm, Roland Berger, where he was a core member of the Transaction & Investor Services platform supporting private equity and strategic investors across the Industrial and Regulated & Infrastructure sectors predominantly within the mid-market.

 

Henry graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Bachelor (Hons) in Economics. His interests outside of work are road cycling where he competes in time trials, running and skiing.
